Professional Background
  • Mike has been licensed to practice law since 1986.  His practice emphasizes residential and commercial land use and environmental law, residential and commerial sales and leasing transactions, government relations, code enforcement defense and entity formations, maintenance and dissolutions.  He is certified as a mediator through the King County Dispute Resolution Center and is licensed as a real estate license law instructor.  Since 1994 he has taught hundreds of real estate law seminars throughout the State and has served on the faculties of numerous educational institutions, including the Seattle-King County and Washington Associations of Realtors, North Seattle Community College, the Rockwell Institute, John L. Scott Real Estate, Windermere Real Estate, Re-Max Real Estate, Prudential Real Estate and Coldwell Banker Real Estate.  In 1994, he was invited to Shanghai, China to participate in an academic exchange with housing and land use officials, and in 1996, he took a one-year sabbatical to serve as Lead Attorney for a United States Agency for International Development/World Bank land reform project in the former Soviet Republic of Moldova.  Mike lives on Bainbridge Island with his wife and two children, and was elected to the Bainbridge Island School Board in 2009.  Mike is proud to have served over 3,000 clients since 1994.
