Professional Background
Emphasizing land use, zoning, environmental, transactions and government relations, Mike has over fifteen years’ experience representing the real estate brokerage, sales and development industries before local, state and federal legislative bodies.  Mike also represents both purchasers and sellers of residential and commercial real property, and prepares and reviews easements, joint ownership agreements, deed restrictions and other agreements involving real property, including the formation of LLCs and partnerships.  In 1994, he consulted with the government of Shanghai, PRC on real estate and legal matters, and in 1996 he served as the lead attorney for a United States Department of State land reform project in the former Soviet Republic of Moldova.  He also teaches real estate law for the Washington Association of REALTORS and the Rockwell Institute and is a frequent writer and speaker on real estate topics in the Seattle area.  He is a member of numerous organizations and committees involved in drafting land use, real estate, environmental, and planning legislation.
